When I was younger, all I wanted was a window where I could push the shutters open wide and set a pie on the windowsill to cool. Fast forward and I don't have a window ledge, my window slides instead of having shutters to open, and my children seldom let my pies cool before they dig into them, but I do still love making them whenever possible.
